    Only wildcard to win Wimbledon'
    That trivia was all i needed
    & he played those guys in the finals which he lost
    although he beat rafter
    is he holding the winner's trophy?

    Goran Ivanisevic. He first lost in Wimbledon final in 1992 to Andre Agassi..then twice to Pete Sampras. He got the wild card in 2001 and went to beat Patric Rafter for the title, becoming the first and only wild card entry to do so.

    Then during his wildcard entry, he beat patrick rafter in the finals

    He lost the wimbledon final thrice- once to agassi n then twice to sampras. in 2001 he entered the tournament as a wild card entry and ended up winning the tournament. Pat Rafter was his opponent in the final...

    goran ivansevic won the wimbledon as a wild card defeating pat rafter in the final. he was defeated in the wimbledon finals thrice . by agassi, sampras twice
