Question 780: XOXO

The __X___ name first appeared in November 2005 on the message board "Darkside_RG". In November 2007, he removed all of his work from a popular site, citing harassment and inadequate protection as the reason (according to Delhi cops, this might have been because of the way he dressed, lol)
But he made his triumphant return with "I AM Legend" (hence this was chosen as my comeback question).
MIrrors was his 1000th work and On April 19, 2009 __X__made his last known comment on Message Board "Darkside_RG", in response to rumors that he had stopped posting on Darkside_RG. He states: "I can only say a big thank you for your appreciation mates, hope you all enjoy the darkside as much as you can My home is my beloved Darkside and as I've said so many times before on each of my ____... Be aware of bogus sites and lamers See ya."

Question 712: Kermit is no Hermit

Robot Chicken as a show isn't known for having a lasting impression, but this character created as an antithesis to kermit is a pun upon the actual character's name. This 80's go getter went on to define a generation, although his later avatar was a huge disappointment as a mere anticlimatic antihero.

SO ID the character here (not kermit) and who he is based upon from the world of cinema.

Question 693: Glorified Tubelights aren't they?

The following is a description of the choreography behind the use of __X__ in __Y__

I developed different styles for the characters, and gave each of them a flaw or a bonus. So with ___ for instance, he's got a very business-like style — when he was younger he could border on the flashy and might twirl his __X__ a bit, because he was taught by Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon was brash, that rubbed off on ____ and ____ then taught _____, who was way too old to learn anyway... I think the style really worked well. The ___Z____ style of fighting is an amalgamation of all the great sword fighting styles. Melding them together is the difficult part — to move from a Kendo style to, say, Rapier requires a complete change in body and feet movement, and this must look effortless. The style moves seamlessly between the different disciplines, but remains technically correct throughout. It's unlike any other style of fighting and I think it's beautiful to watch.

SO ID X & Y

Question 632: Kim Kardashian Is Dead!

Ok not really, but that must've got all nerds (if Nihar is still alive after the shock, he should post a question in the evening, lol).
But this picture was released as part of a digital campaign by Alicia Keyes for her ___X___ campaign, which is against ___Y___.  Other A-list celebs ( are they?) like Usher, Justin Timberlake, Serena Williams and more are taking part in the “Digital Sacrifice” campaign by signing off of social media platforms twitter and facebook (now if Nihar posts a question, i shall be shocked) on World __Y__ Day. According to reports, each celeb has also filmed “last tweet and testament” videos and will appear in ads showing them lying in coffins.
“It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up”, says Alicia Keys of the campaign. “It’s not that people don’t care or it’s not that people don’t want to do something, it’s that they never thought of it quite like that. This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention.
Leigh Blake, President of ___X__, added “We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?”

Question 611: Wonder if They Had Torrentz?

Local belief is that the name of __X__ was actually given by Christopher Columbus, who called it the "land of the turtle", subsequent locals would be guffawing at the irony of it though. But in reality, Columbus had actually named the island Santa Ana, but the Dutch then poached the island (a precursor to its more prurient present no doubt), and named it Ter Holen, after a Dutch Island.

As in any colony of the 1600s, slave trading began to run the plantations, but was quickly stopped as the slaves began to take over the island. This was the beginning of the debauchery which catapulted __X__ into fame, far before __Y__ ever did.

In 1640, a union of sorts was formed, consisting of French, English and Dutch "gentlemen", with close to two thousand women being "imported" to __X__ in an effort to bring about some comfort and discipline in the lives of these dear gentlemen.

All this is a brief history which was documented more, uh, "flamboyantly" by __Y__.

SO:
1) ID X
2) ID Y/ the union of these gentlemen.

QUESTION 301

The foundation of X movement finds historical precedent as far back as the counterculture of the Ancient Greece , espoused by philosophers like Diogenes of Sinope and the Cynics also as early forms of X culture. X philosophy also credits the religious and spiritual teachings of Jesus, Hillel the Elder, Buddha and Gandhi
The first signs of what we would call modern X emerged in Europe. Between 1896 and 1908, a German youth movement arose as a countercultural reaction to the organized social and cultural clubs that centered around German folk music. Known as Der Wabdervogel, the movement opposed the formality of traditional German clubs, instead emphasizing amateur music and singing, creative dress, and communal outings involving hiking and camping. Inspired by the works of Friedrich Nietzsche, Goethe, Herman Hasse, and Eduard Baltzer, Wandervogel attracted thousands of young Germans who rejected the rapid trend toward urbanization and yearned for the pagan, back-to-nature spiritual life of their ancestors
