the photographic plate Becquerel used to determine radioactivity..He exposed uranium to the plate and found it was fogged as we see here..

That's rather easy. The xerographic image of a Maltese Cross which inspired Becquerel with his theory of radioactivity.

Antoine Henri Becquerel discovered the phenomenon of radioactivity by exposing a photographic plate to uranium (1896).
