The rulers of Kashmir, Hyderabad, and Junagadh were among the last to formally join the the Indian union shortly after independence. The first two rulers were reluctant to join because both had dreams of becoming completely independant. The Nawab of Junagadh, however attempted to join Pakistan despite sharing no boundaries with it for a rather different reason. What was it?

the nawab of junagarh claimed the adjoining arabian sea, which connected it to pakistan, as a boundary
