Wrigley -  originally sold soap and baking powder.

Tiffany & Co. - originally started as a stationery and fancy goods emporium.

Hasbro - textile company which moved on to selling pencil boxes and school supplies.

Nintendo - initially it produced handmade hanafuda cards.The company also tried several small niche businesses, such as a cab company and a love hotel.

Avon - door-to-door book sales.

RED HERRING:
Acme Corporation -  is a fictional corporation that exists in several cartoons, films and TV series, most significantly in the Looney Tunes universe. Products from the fictional Acme Corporation are both generic and tend to fail.
